The Senior Information and Referral Program is overseen by Kern County and can point seniors toward providers of legal services and home care. The program also gives assistance with forms and tax preparation. Additionally, it provides guidance for accessing utility rebates and no- or low-cost fishing licenses. IHSS supports seniors who wish to remain at home but are unable to do so without help. Among other forms of aid, the program offers help with domestic tasks, including meal preparation and laundry. To qualify for this program, an individual must be Medi-Cal eligible or already taking part in Medi-Cal.

The Meals on Wheels program helps seniors meet their nutritional needs by providing home-delivered meals.
