East Baton Rouge Council on Aging (EBRCOA) provides support to independent seniors, ensuring they maintain a healthy lifestyle. A team of care managers is available to answer questions and provide advice on a range of issues, including Medicaid applications and legal concerns, and connects seniors with community resources. Low-income adults aged 60 years and older can apply to EBRCOA’s utility bill assistance program which helps eligible seniors pay for their electricity.

Lotus Rides aims to support independence by providing a transportation service to Baton Rouge residents aged 60 years and older.
