Senior Connections Senior Connections is a nonprofit organization that's part of the nationwide Area Agencies on Aging network. Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman helps seniors living in long-term care facilities resolve disputes about their level of care in an effort to improve their quality of life. An ombudsman will investigate complaints brought by a senior or family member to determine neglect or lack of proper care. Staff members can educate seniors on their rights and act as a mediator for concerns between senior residents and their care providers.
