Alden Debes

My sister had a sever stroke on her right side so she was unable to talk in June, 2021. After the Saint Anthony Hospital she transferred to Stroke Rehabilitation from there she moved to Alden Debes. They took advantage of her because of her lack of speech. She had nice sunny room, but they didn’t give her a shower for 32 days! She’s a type on diabetic and needed this care. They never checked her feet for bedsores. We were all told how well she was progressing and able to transfer from her bed to her wheelchair or walker. When I moved her to Wisconsin October 26, 2021, the Social Worker told us to come at 10:30. She would go over everything. Upon arrival we were total she couldn’t meet us she was in a meeting. A nurse came and gave me a plastic bag full of her medications without any instructions! She did give me a long list of medication which took a lot of time to shift to when to administer a drug and the frequency. The social worker also said she would have medications she needed at CVS at 9:30 that day which were not there. Alden Debes would be after us to pay when insurance didn’t cover things. She had prepaid for the month of October $8,464.00. She left before the end and now they owe her for six days $1,472.00. I’ve been calling and get various answers from a long weekend or no checks had been cut for the week. It will be next week as of 1/7/22. Emanuel said it should be cut by next week. He’d call me. I’d never ever send anyone here!

My father was tested for covid before leaving the hospital. I don't understand why they tested him again. He got AFalse positive. He was quarantined for 3 weeks. We had to do window visits. Which are very difficult for him. He would push the call button over and no one came. My dad fell in the bathroom. They released him a day later. This place is full of elder abuse.

This place cares more about the floors than their patients. Every day they were buffing the floor but I had to beg for my husbands bath even on his scheduled days. The nurses are not nice. And one of the bath aides traumatized him and was very rough and hurt him. I'm my opinion find a better place for your loved one. The one good thing about the place are the therapy people.
