Alliance Home Health Care

The VA had set my dad up with Alliance. He needed 24 hour care. The quality of care was sporadic. There were some very good caretakers; however, never, ever use them for night shift unless you have cameras in every room. The night shift caretakers we had would fall asleep and my dad would call out to no avail. Alliance suggested we find another service, so I did. The other service for nights was absolutely wonderful. My M-F day shift caretaker from Alliance was fabulous and a couple of the evening shift people were good, but they do pass around their bad apples to clients who may not have an advocate or someone who is constantly watching. I had them let go several caretakers and sure enough they were placed with other residents. I had a meeting with management back in April 2022 and they promised me things like creating a care plan so all caretakers knew what to do, they assigned a case manager who was to come out and check up on staff, etc. I created the care plan and yes, we had a case manager I could complain to, but to me it went on deaf ears.
