Anchor Health and Rehab of Aiken

I only give them a one because there is nothing lower!! I don’t know where to start because we have had so many issues. My mother and my brother are both there with broken hips. They are both very upset with their level or care. No bathes, wearing diapers, no medication for pain, no updates from staff. It’s a nightmare. Please don’t send someone you love, or even care about to this place. It’s terrible to hear your 85 year old mother crying and begging to get away from these people.

My mother Reatha Miles was recently a patient at Anchor Health and Rehabilitation in Aiken the Administrator is rude, nasty, unpleasant, and unprofessional. I never was given an update on my mom progress then less than 48hrs someone called me and said my mom will be discharged. The administration team and staff their are unprofessional except Ms. Vanessa. I wouldn’t advise anyone to take their love one their. I will be filing a lawsuit against this facility. The administrator need to be FIRED!!!

I was recently a patient at Anchor for rehab...I will preface this by saying that the PT and OT are the BEST and care deeply for their patients.But that is where it stops. •I requested pain medication one day at 3:30 pm again at 5 and again a little after 6. At 10 to 9 I HAD RECEIVED NOTHING!•This is not the first time...one night I requested pain meds from 1 AM to 7 AM and only received them after shift change at 8:30 AM•I pressed my call light around 11 PM one night. I waited 45 minutes for someone to answer. I could hear staff in the hall laughing and carrying on. I finally was so pissed off I got myself out of bed and to the bathroom and back to bed BY MYSELF! I am a fall risk by the way. I turned off my call light. It had been on for 1 hour and 25 minutes! No one answered it.•On Sunday 02/01 I was put on 02 as my levels were fluctuating between 81-91. I did not see a Doctor until Tuesday and only after having to complain to the Administrator! The Administrator told my husband that there was 1 doctor for all the patients and that there were patients who needed attention more than myself. WHO SAYS THIS TO A CONCERNED LOVED ONE!•For 6 days I was unable to eat or drink anything. Finally, I had an MS exacerbation because of not eating and was very sick. I begged to call 911 because the pain was so intense. I had to call my husband who came down and argued with the nurses who said they couldn’t call 911 without a doctor order, which may be true but they were unable to treat me in my condition. I did blow up and yell but I was in so much pain I don’t remember a lot of it.•911 was finally called and I went to the hospital where I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis. I had to be put on Steroid treatments and have a lot of tests. •7 days later I am home having refused any facility rehab.This was my 3rd time here. I requested to come here because of the care I was given those past 2 times. My last time here was exactly 2 years ago practically to the day. I seriously cannot believe the level of care dropped so badly.There are some very good nurses and CNA’S but very few.Someone needed to post an honest review from a patient's perspective.
