Anchor Lodge Nursing Home

Some bad things happened to my dad without my knowledge. His POA went behind the families back and not only made him sign his home over to her through a TOD but also changed the life insurance beneficiary from next of kin to herself and she's not even family. What ended up happening is my dad died three weeks later and anchor lodge has been uncooperative in this matter. They won't tell me nothing despite being immediate family. Awfully suspicious how a total stranger and non-family member can't be allowed to take POA, put someone in a nursing home and prevent family from finding out anything about their own family members. My dad had presumed Alzheimer's according to the death certificate and anchor lodge wouldn't share the info because I'm "not his POA", this was after dad died. They new POA ends when someone dies but didn't share that and I eventually found out shortly after reaching out to them. It seems awfully suspicious family wasn't contacted until after the senior was buried. Funny how total strangers can go behind families back without their knowledge and let bad things happen to your loved one without your knowledge. Makes you wonder if murder occurred. Bumping people off for their wealth is all too common these days especially if it hurts the rightful heirs who are rightfully entitled to everything the senior left behind and especially if someone took advantage of that relative when they were vulnerable. What's worse is people who steal the estate tend to be able to get away with it when all they have to do is run from the lawsuit to escape legal accountability. Can't help but suspect anchor lodge and the POA were most likely behind dad's death and someone could've likely contributed to it. Can't help but suspect this since info was denied to the rightful family. Even the funeral home seemed to be a bit stumped. Anchor lodge really needs to make it right and share all the info the family needs to give them closure. They need to turn over medical records in this particular type of case. It's wrong to withhold info from the immediate family

Care given to Medicaid patients not on same level as out-of-pocket. Social worker pushed an elderly woman who had suffered through serious illness out after only one week of treatment. Social worker "Brittany" says "it's not her choice." Thanks, Brittany, for helping to put a patient in poor condition back home without adequately helping with options. Hours lost because Brittany, Anchor, and Co can't manage a discharge efficiently, even though they're the ones forcing the discharge through.
