e placed my mom here recovering from a fall. For close to 2 months, she had diarrhea of which the cure was to give her an Imodium once a day. Could not get answers from ANYONE. Couldn't get phone calls returned. Bathroom never got cleaned, mattress on day 2 after complaining and removing sheet had a huge "hole" in of which she had to lay in on night one. Clock quit working after a short while, couldn't get it fixed, then it disappeared and was never replaced. We had to buy her a clock for her room as the clock never did reappear. Most days blinds were never opened so they sat in the dark. Tried and tried to get someone to take an order for "lighter" food. Slop kept appearing day after day so much of the time we couldn't identify the heavy meals she was not eating. She would ring her bell for help, it would take forever for someone to come. Weekend staff was grouchy and rude. After 6 weeks we found someone to help get some answers. Found out we were supposed to have "family meetings" Had never even heard of that. supposedly she had a doctor, nurse etc. The family knew nothing and had no information for contact. After ringing bell because she messed in her diaper an aide appeared, my brother was in the room and witnessed, rude and obviously disgruntled. She mumbled everyone in this place has diarrhea. On that particular day my mother and her current roommate both did. Again no one offered any help, just give her an Imodium. At one point they changed her medicine and never notified the family (we found this out from her discharge paperwork). One other thing we found out from her discharge paperwork was they had put her on an anxiety/depression med of which our doctor said should never have been given with another one of her medicines. I could go on and on. The night we got to Ashton Creek to take her home myself and my 2 sisters walked in the front door. There was a table with some guest forms to fill out (covid), a box of pens labeled (sterile) and a box of pens labeled (used). as well as a box of masks. An aide came walking over & said you each need to fill out a covid form... she then proceeded to pick up a sterile pen, wrote something on a form and handed both to my sister. The same was repeated for myself and my other sister. So much for the "sterile" pen. She then informed us the masks we had on would not work and we needed to wear one of their masks. She then picked up the box of blue medical masks using her bare hand again grabbed a mask right in the middle (the area that goes over your mouth) handed one to my sister and repeated the same to myself and my other sister. THEN the best yet. She said I need to take your temperatures. She pointed the thermometer at my sister's head, looked at her temperature and proceeded to write my younger sister's temperature on ALL THREE OF OUR PAPERS. Again, I could go on and on!!! We do NOT recommend this place!!!!!!!

My mother-n-law was there for 6 months before we pulled her out. She had lost over 20 pounds and had UTI so bad we had to take her to the hospital. We were paying over 8,000 per month for this poor of care. Run don't walk with your loved one. They are not worth it.

Our loved one is a resident of Ashton Creek Health. We've had periodic issues with the care of their basic daily needs (nail care, cleanliness, etc.). We have meetings with the professional disciplines at regular intervals and voice our concerns. In the interim, we make calls voicing our concerns when there are issues. At those times we're assured these concerns are being dealt with and appropriate action taken. But we continue to find the same issues. Our concerns appear to fall on deaf ears or just don't care. We don't have unrealistic expectations. Cleanliness, personal grooming, etc. are not "extra" benefits. They are basic.
