Azalea Gardens of Mobile

I left there because I could not and would not tolerate the way that the residents were treated. Complaints fell on deaf ears at corporate. We had an administrator quit after five days. CNA’s sleep in the empty beds, poop in toilets and don’t flush. They have sex in the stairwells as well as smoke weed. CNA’s fight and argue as if they were in a bar. When it rains outside it is raining on the inside. The memory care residents turn the water on the third floor and it floods all the way down to the first floor. The asbestos has never been taken care of but there are meetings that take place. Christmas time the memory care residents presents were stolen by staff. A LPN refused to give a hospice patient oxygen because, “she has used 3 tanks in two days”. It was reported to the temp administrator who said, “she feels like you’re picking on her”. Corporate treats management like dogs and yells and bullies them. I watched them scream and yell at an administrator for one hour, they crushed him. I was yelled at by my supervisor and forced to come in while on bereavement. The crack head HR employee put two large checks in the shred bin and laughed about it. One positive thing is corporate is in bed with each other and they have each other’s back up to and including lies and cover ups. To this day I have not received my last two weeks of pay. I’m not angry, I am sad and concerned for the people who have to stay there. Corporate is in Louisiana and has no investment in the Azalea Gardens community. They just collect the cash. If you are able go to the next nursing home and DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE THERE!
