Bayada Home Health Care

Friday at 10:00 am, I received my second booster. I hired someone from Bayada Nurses to spend the night. She arrived at 8:00 pm with no mask on. I asked her to put one on….her response was that she didn’t have one with her and asked if I had one for her to use. I gave one to her. As I was struggling to get my compression socks off ,she just sat there. At 10:00 pm, I decided it was a good time to go to bed. Here is when the booster created problems. My legs stiffened up and getting onto the bed was nearly impossible. I needed this woman to help me get into the bed. Together, we had a very, very difficult time but after the continuing struggle, I was finally able to be in there and get some much needed sleep. In the middle of that night, she awakened me to see if I was ok….unnecessary to do this. The morning thereafter arrived, and I tried getting up to transfer into my wheelchair I was unsuccessful. The woman tried getting me up and I was left suspended between the bed and floor. She stated that she could not stay much longer…. that she had a meeting…. it was 8:00 am. I am so grateful to have my life alert….I pressed the button and shortly thereafter, my North West firemen were here. They took my vitals and stated that my oxygen levels were low (in the 80s) and they wanted to take me to the hospital….I refused. I was just experiencing another adverse reaction to the second booster. With a lot of gratitude several firemen got me from my bed and into my wheelchair…felt rather light headed but it subsided. In speaking to the person who set this up with me, I clearly stated that I needed a proficient person to be able to meet my specific needs.I provided a great deal of money to Bayada $400 plus to obtain competent care. This woman (not a nurse) was not able to give what she was here to provide.Respectfully,Sharon Schwartz.
