Do not leave your parent here. Management is never seen and there is the matter of honesty. Residents have absolutely no say in anything that they thought would be nice. Told okay or I’ll look into it. Nothings done. Many residents have left for this and other things. My dad when asked when was management was seen last, he raises his shoulders and doesn’t even know who it is and he doesn’t know if it’s a he or she. Some good changes have happened, due to employees that enjoy working with the elderly. There are many employees that are caring and helpful, but there is noticed by my father he sees employees come and go. Burn out is quick because caregivers work tow or more shifts. When dad needs help from a caregivers they now come fairly quickly, but it’s about 6 weeks before they are gone. Even I have to ask who are you when they come in. Never saw them before. When dad came first, it was not that way. Waits of 30 minutes to one and a half hours. Even I have to ask they are you? The residents are the ones who make this place wonderful. They are friendly and kind. Dad has even got with some and played cards or cribbage. The building is beautiful, dad thinks it’s has lots of places to go.. the library (he likes it there) because he can find books, do puzzles, and play games. Some areas need work. Carpets are awful. Don’t even want to walk on them. Don’t drop anything. I come often, a lot at lunch, and have to watch him. This could be a fantastic place for mom or dad, lot’s of good people.
