Bradford Place- A Diversicare Transitional Care Community

My mothers pain medicine ran out and wasnt given to her for 4 days but there was enough originally ordered for 30 days and she wasnt even there 3 weeks at that time. They wont give her proper insulin which has caused for high continuous sugar. Nurse monica should not have her nursing degree for im far from a nurse but seem to understand how to give better care than her. The patients wait literally for hour or more for help to use restroom or to get up, elderly patients sleepi g in bn hallways for hours at a time which probably has to do with beds not being made for hours after sheets are removed to be cleaned, nurses touch pills and check blood sugar without wearing gloves, medical supplies laying around everywhere, i have made numerous complaints to social worker there and to upper management and staff but still nothing has gotten better. We are in the process of getting my mother removed from this place as soon as possible. I strongly suggest to do multiple tours and just walk around and listen to how the staff talks to their patients before making a decision for using Bradford Place for your loved ones. The banner out front is very misleading about 5 star care. What a joke. This place needs shut down or complete start over with employess.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff was not trained in certain areas for the care that was needed. It took almost half and hour after we requested a staff person to help with personal needs. We also noticed care was listed on their chart as being done when in fact it was not done. One family member coming for a visit noticed a resident to be asleep at a computer desk in the lobby. When they went to leave 2 1/2 hours later the resident was still there in the exact position as if no one had bothered to even check on them.I was appalled with the care my family member received and will never recommend this facility.
