Colonial Manor McAllen

I would give this facility Zero stars, but unfortunately that wasn't an option. My father had barely been in this facility for a little over 2 months before he was struck with a ravaging fever due to a bed sore (Sepsis infection) on his lower back that ultimately took his life! Colonial Manor was careless and very negligent in caring for and getting the proper care my dad needed in a timely manor. According to his medical records, they supposedly only applied otc ointment to the affected area which unbeknownest to us at the time, had necrosis! By the time they got appropriate help for him (hospitalized), it was way too late! The bed sore was the size of a football and had eaten away at my dad's lower back where the tailbone sits. Sepsis had taken over his entire body and attacked his organs. My dad went into Cardiac Arrest and passed after only two days in the hospital as his body couldn't overcome the infection! The coroner with 30+ years of experience, who attended to my dad's body commented that she had never seen anything like that before! ????Shame on this careless facility!Please beware...
