Crestwood Nursing Home

I moved my elderly parent to Crestwood during the summer. Things were going well. She was happy and the staff was easy to work with. A few weeks ago, I received a call from the facility, telling me they couldn't get my parent up out of bed. They suggested it was a UTI, or a possible fall during the nite, so she was X-rayed. I had to ask the RN to check my parent's oxygen level, which was low, so they were put on oxygen. They always had the AC blasting cold air in the room, too! Long and short of it is that they misdiagnosed my parent's condition, and I was the one who had to suggest hospitalization. My parent passed away shortly thereafter at the hospital. The hospital staff told me my parent was gravely ill, and perhaps if their Nursing and Medical Staff knew the signs of pneumonia, this situation with my parent might not have happened.

my sister inlaw in a patient at Crestwood for the last 3 to 4 months. She is given good care and is treated very well by the staff. I don't smell any odors as some nursing homes do have at times. She gets help feeding herself if she needs it and is taken most times to activities even if she can't participate. I've visited her on a couple occasions back in April 2018 and will be visiting her again in May. Her immediate family seemed please with her care and all their concerns are addressed.
