My mother was in this facility for 2 years. I went every other day to make sure she was getting the care she needed. I wish I would had never taken her there but once she got there she was stuck. She is gone now and I feel like I should warn others. I can tell you the help is lazy and they are more concerned with being on the cell phone than giving someone help . I have seen many " wrongs" in this facility over the years. Lack of concern by nurses and staff has lead to many patients being neglected. I have seen residents not properly fed because all they needed was a little help with eating. Instead they push them up to the table the allowed amount of time to eat and then push them off to the tv room or to bed (at 6:00pm!) Heaven forbid they should get a cup of coffee and if they did ….forget about getting cream. Sometimes no dessert. Better not need thickening in your liquids to swallow because no one is on the same page even though there is a large note in the kitchen! When my mother 1st went there I took her to the bathroom at night and got her nightgown on and put her to bed myself (better than waiting for the 2hr breaks to end by the help) . If my mother fell or was sick no one would call me. I was told by a nurse: a lot of people fell today I don't have time. We almost lost her a couple of times had we not come in to see her. Many times she would be right across from the nurses station and they did not help her.I saw a resident mistreated and never saw the relative to tell them. She passed away and it was so sad to see how she was neglected. She would take her cloths off all the time and they threw her in a room and shut the door and put a mattress on the floor for her. She crawled around naked in her own feces. I know this because the roommate had went in and opened the door and she started crawling down the hall. There are a few nurses and a few of the staff that are good but not enough to give this place a decent rating. They are not there all the time and a lot of bad help have replaced any good that were there. DO not send your love one here. Don't get fooled by the nice décor or pretty fish tank!
