Devon Manor

I am a Georgetown nurse and my mother was briefly sent to Devon Manor after a cardiac procedure. Her roommate was in distress and my mother a retired nurse pulled the curtain between their beds back to check on her. At this time a male nursing assistant entered the room and aggressively grabbed my mother by the arm bruising her. My mother was completely intact cognitively and told us the following day. We filed a police report and my mother was moved out. The nursing supervisor was clearly displeased that we filed he report and insisted no males enter the room.Bottom line I would not kennel my dog at Devon Manor. Always advocate for your parents and don’t assume the care they are receiving is professional and kind.
