Eastern State Hospital Long Term Care Facility

I went here for a mental health evaluation and medicine change. First they put me in a holding wing while waiting for my Covid test results. The room was filthy and there was poop in the toilet. I got very sick my first day and they let me lay in a puddle of puke for hours. I was too weak to get up. I was dry heaving for over 9 hours and they gave me nothing for nausea, they basically ignored. Then I started getting sharp pains in my stomach, bringing me to tears. They ignored my cries for help. After several hours of this horrible pain I told them I would be contacting a lawyer about inhumane treatment. They treated me like an animal it was very demeaning. Then they called the doctor and he sent me to the hospital. I had a severe stomach infection and UTI. Treated and released. The covid test came back negative and I was transferred to a different wing. The room was filthy and I had to make my own bed. That's okay, but the bathroom was filthy. There was puke on the wall, floor and toilet. We asked several times for it to be cleaned. I was there for a week and the bathroom was never cleaned. We were treated like animals. The staff was rude and unhelpful. They stood around talking instead of helping their patients. I was supposed to be on a semi liquid diet, but they never served fit food. I went 3 days with no food. Again I mentioned a lawyer and they got me some applesauce to eat. But I was never put on the right diet. I trusted them and went to them for help, and didn't get any. I am reporting them to Medicare and my insurance. They don't deserve to be paid for treating their patients like animals. The whole experience was very degrading.
