Hcr Home Care

Upon my husband's return home after having a stroke, he had received ST, OT, & PT services. His PT has been twice a week & continues as such. His lower body recovery is going very well because of this. Speech and was once a week for 6 weeks, & OT had been once a week. The unfortunate issue was when OT went on leave, my husband was seen once after 3 weeks, when I had to call them to find out what was going on, & then not again until OT returned after a total of 8+ weeks. We are extremely disappointed that this company did not reach out to us at any point in time & just let my husband's upper body recovery fall through the cracks.

Right now I am super upset with HCR. I have no complaints about the staff (nurses, PT or OT) They were wonderful. However I am still outraged when I learned yesterday that 2 of the staff visiting my home had tested positive for COVID-19 and I was never informed by the company of this fact. After testing positive, the 2 staff were given 10 days off. A replacement PT told me they “were on vacation.” It is HIGHLY LIKELY THAT BOTH STAFF MEMBERS HAD CLOSE PERSONAL CONTACT WITH ME WHILE POTENTIALLY BEING C19 POSITIVE! They were wearing only loose-fitting surgical masks and I learned that they are given only 2 disposable masks per week! I just had hip replacement surgery and I have asthma. These factors put me at higher risk!! So much for contact tracing! I would NEVER recommend HCR!
