Heath Village

My mom was in Heath Village for rehab . I have to say I would never send her back there. The social work department had no compassion what so ever and added to my stress. Also, I was there one day visiting my mom and an came in to help my mom to the bathroom as she couldn't go on her own. The aid put her on the toilet and left her there. I happen to look in the bathroom and my mom had gotten herself off the toilet into her wheelchair . They were lucky my mom didn't fall. Although the place is beautiful , the care in the rehab place is horrible.

I thought they were a good facility at first. My father was there during COVId. I couldn’t go in to see him at all. Only 1/2 very infrequent outside visits. Paid $15,000.00 a-month. Not covered by insurance. My father passed away there VERY suddenly and unexpectedly not COVId related. Pm nurses nice enough. But when he passed an hour after my arrival they wanted to know immediately what to do with body and did I want to take belongings then. Also didn’t here any condolences from any administration in following days. VERY disappointed in the lack of compassion and that my father would have deteriorated to the point of passing and never being updated on any deterioration that I could not determine in my phone conversation with him. Leaves care at this facility questionable. I hope other families can get access soon to have the ability of keeping an eye on family members.

Horrible care. Night nurses would ignore my mother's need to use the bathroom. Would take candy from her bedside table, called her names and laughed about her right outside her door. Had to ask to have a nurse removed form treating her. Took my mom home early from rehab as she was so unhappy there she cried daily. Did not follow meal restrictions, got the same foods as everyone else in the dining room. Met with management, nothing changed.
