Henderson House Assisted Living

My loved one was here. The building is old and could use some updating but the love and compassion the staff shows these residents is overwhelming. What Henderson House lacks in appearance , it makes up 10 fold in kindness and love. The kitchen staff makes every attempt to prepare nutritious, tasty meals. The residents are free and encouraged to live a full life. Adult daycare and transportation is available to those that would like to participate. I slept well knowing my loved one was safe and not being neglected or mistreated. These caregivers do just that, give care .

I don't know about the inside, I don't have anyone who needs that kind of care and have never been inside. But I live across the street and I feel like the residents are happy there. They spend time outside, on the front porch or walking the property, the bus picks up and drops them off regularly for appts etc. Some will call out a hello neighbor( which is very sweet). I see aids out there with them and feel like they are all comfortable with each other and get the attention they deserve. Just my observation.
