Heritage Care Center

This place is horrible!!! My father was ignored and left alone! Food was nasty and cold! He had rashes all over his body and got a severe infection that caused him to go to the hospital! I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff does not call you back or answer their phones and when they do they tray you as if you are a bother to them! Do not put any of your loved ones here. Not a place for anyone!!! They need to be shut down!

Shame on you for only showing pictures of the renovated assisted living part of your facility. My husband was just in the memory care wing. Thank goodness that we were able to get him home after only 4 days, which was 4 too many. The staff does their best with the meager tools and limited staff to do their jobs. Four of our children were born in that unit, the youngest is 45. My point being that it still has the original tile in the bathrooms. The stark white walls are in dire need of some repair and repainting to cover up years of wear and tear. The furniture looks like it was purchased from a war surplus store. Three men, who all need assistance, in the same room with a shared bathroom that is equally disgusting. The dining room has one shelf with a few "doodads" on it. Stark white walls, nothing to brighten up the room to make it homey or inviting. The t.v. room is a small room with an old t.v. set, no comfortable seating anywhere.So grateful that we have the means and the family help to keep my sweetheart of 62 years cared for and comfortable at home. He was admitted for respit care to clear up a yeast infection and UTI and to give me a break. My heart aches for the residents who have no where else to go. Animals have better facilities. The one star rating is for the hard working staff who are working together to help these "inmates" with no amenities to work with. Disgusting.

My wife was ignored to the point that she developed a severe skin infection, became serverly weak, experienced almost constant nausea, and had incapacitating pain levels. She was over Medicated so that the MA's would not have to clean her wounds. Eventually she was rushed to a hospital for emergency medical care.
