Holton Manor

If I could give this place a zero, I would. The nurses, CNAs, and techs are all very nice and helpful that is the only good part. Some of the other staff not so much. The woman in physical therapy are terrible people. They lied and said my mom denied therapy on multiple occasions, which she did not do. They came for her at times when it was impossible for her do therapy (receiving an IV, no clothes due to all her clothes were lost, and no energy due to extremely low hemoglobin). They raised their voices at her and belittled her. They did not take the time to listen to her needs and understand how she was feeling.She ended up going back into the hospital for a blood transfusion and a small procedure and when it was time for her to go back for her short term care they refused to take her back. We had to scramble to find her a new subacute facility on a days notice during a snow storm. The case manager from the facility did not even call me to tell me that they were refusing to take her back. The hospital case manager told me. She was very upset that they did not call me and tell me themselves. The hospital case manager did not believe what they told her about my mom. All the staff at the hospital, including physical therapy, loved her and said she is very cooperative and easy going. When I went to pick up her things at Holton Manor, the nursing staff did not even know that she was turned away. They were very sad and said she was a great person and that they did not have any problems with her. They apologized for the poor treatment of the others.
