Our mother was at Jean's briefly and her treatment was despicable. She told us that Jean preferred people who were unable "to fend for themselves" with tears in her eyes. At Jean's my mother was labeled as combative, however when we moved her home and brought in caregivers she was labeled as the nicest person care givers ever met. If mom was against the move to Jean's one might expect this to be an issue. She was actually excited to go because she loved the room and Jean at first meeting and didn't want to be a "burden" to her children. She was traumatized by the stay.
