Just Like Home AFC

Stacey and her staff have been amazing care providers and extended family to my uncle for over a decade. Stacey is so well versed in both geriatric care as well mental health challenges. Every time I visit I learn something new.

I recently had a family member with Down syndrome go to this facility to receive 24/7 care. She is in her 60's, with the beginnings of dementia. When my family entered Just Like Home, she was able to walk (albeit with assistance) and her skin was perfectly intact. After two months in this facility she has just entered the hospital with an infection that has reached her bone. She has 10-15 bedsores on her body and will be having her toe amputated today due to infection from a bed sore. She is completely unable to walk. Her mouth is covered with sores and she lost 15 lbs. The staff at Just like home did not help my patient eat (when we stressed she needs assistance) and would leave her in bed in a wet brief until well past noon. We are now considering litigation against this company.
