Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

First I will say, I blame the administration specifically Abby Little. Disgust me knowing, they are okay with keeping these useless CNAs and risk losing a Nurse who actually cares in that whole facility. Here is my story: My mother requested she remain unknown. My mother has been at Lakeland for a few years now. My mother has struggled with CNA abuse, Nurses ignoring her, and has witnessed a Nurse being verbally abused and threatened. She has a Nurse named Rebecca.My mother calls me everyday and tells me Rebecca is working ok so happy she is back. Rebecca, does not hesitate to handle any issues any one brings too her, I have called the facility and spoke too Rebecca after a weekend she was off, about an issue my mother had been having and my mother told other nurses and CNAs.After I told Rebecca, she said oh yes maim I spoke with your mom when I got here this morning upon rounds and just got off the phone with the doctor.Sadly, my mother has over heard for the last few months, CNAs talking badly about this Nurse and plotting ways too get rid of her because “she cares too much and well I told such and such it was Rebecca even though it was not so maybe they will get rid of her now.”I myself when visiting has heard CNAs in the hallway using vulgar language and cuss at this Nurse for just asking them too do a simple task. The CNAs don’t provide care, cell phones are their priority, and they are verbally abusive. Rebecca, has changed my mother I am not sure how many times because the CNAs disappear. However, on Sunday August 3,2019, I went in early too see my mom, and heard maintenance and a lady in green scrubs (mom said this is housekeeping)yelling using explicit vulgar language; I looked out my moms door and of course they were doing this towards Rebecca. Rebecca, just sat there, she asked them too please lower their voice or get off of the station with that behavior. Sadly, other family members and residents have heard all of this. Moral of this, other family members and myself, feel it’s time to take action.If a facility will allow the best NURSE there get verbally attacked and threatened. I personally truly can only imagine what all is said too our loved ones. My mom has been upset since this incident and crying because she is afraid Rebecca want return.My mother and other families told me, if Rebecca the Nurse leaves, they will take their loved ones out of this facility. This should say a lot.
