Life Pittsburgh

Life Pgh Riverside is completely understaffed and unorganized in the Aide department. I thought that this would help me in taking care of my mother but I have to check and double check if anyone will show up. This isn't what I was promised

Life Pittsburgh are so unorganized, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Even if you try and get things straightened out, you can't because the people who work for them never seem to be on the same page nor do they ever get the information. These people are so incompetent, they left my father outside of his place and never brought him into his place after dropping him off. It is very frustrating dealing with them. They only spend 15 minutes and leave, and all the aids agree, 15 minutes isn't enough time to do what they need to do but the company makes them do that and they need to rush out to make their next appointment. They need to get their act together. Their only saving grace is the aids, some of the aids are really great and caring and will listen to you and do what you ask, but if you are looking for consistency, forget it, it's just never going to happen.

Allocation of resources for participants is done only to provide the least expensive way to care and treat. Medical care is voted on by non-clinical staff and will keep participants in home at a huge risk to safety. Other PACE programs in area are run by leaders who put participants well-being first and not money. Life unfortunately has so many layers of management that little is left for care. It is a very hostile work environment that affects the care.

They are unreliable, they think they control your lived ones life. The in office staff is completley arrogant and do not care about issues you may bring to their attention. The nurses are horrible (especially Greentree location) if an emergency arise they expect you to call them first before calling 911 which is ludicrous to me. They threatened my grandmother in the hospital with not helping her if she doesnt agree to be discharged. DO NOT USE THEM!!

My father-in-law goes to the senior center in Pittsburgh every day. It seems like he has a new driver every day. The original driver left four foot long, half foot deep ruts in our yard and completely ignored the turn around. We put up flags and posts. She ran them over. The next driver wasn't as bad, but she also couldn't seem to find the turn around. We contacted the transportation leader, and never heard back from her. If they feel that the driveway/pickup area is unsafe, they won't pick up the senior, but if you have an issue with their drivers, they don't care and ignore complaints.My father-in-law seems to be happy at the center, but I'm really frustrated with the transportation.
