When I first wake up in the morning, I am very very pained, my hip is on fire, my knees from all the strain of yesterdays activities are hurting and until I sit up and get moving around a bit to get the so-called oils moving through my joints, I am pretty much incapacitated. So, at 5:00 in the morning, I ring for the nurse, the nurse comes in "What do you want"? ME: I would like the bed pan please". NURSE: You can walk to the bathroom". ME: Yes, I can, but for right now I am very sore and the urgency is such that I just need the bed pan". NURSE: You don't have a bed pan". ME: Yes, I do have a bed pan". NURSE: No, you don't". ME: It is in the bathroom". NURSE: Walks into bathroom, brings the bed pan to me and hands it to me. Then I arrange the bed pan myself hoping I get it situated correctly, not being able to raise my left side. Meanwhile, the nurse goes to opposite side of bed, bumps into my bed table knocking items off to the floor. She looks at me and says, "Well, you have all this stuff on the table and I have to get over here". Meanwhile, I am finished with the bed pan and elevate myself and am holding the bed pan and she does nothing to help me. Frustrated and hurting from the position I am in, I take the bed pan and plop it atop my closed computer before I end up dropping it into my bed. The she starts her rant. Ranting and Ranting, with me of course ranting back, she leaves the room, leaves the bed pan, leaves what she has knocked to the floor on the floor and leaves all my lights on, and never returns. This is the help you get at this facility. Day shift is for the most part fine, and one or two on night shift can be depended on, but overall, I have to tell you, I have NEVER been in a facility where people are actually being paid to have this kind of patient attitude and treatment. I am doing all in my power to get checked out of here today. Honestly, I will do better at home, the help is free and with much more compassion. Last night at dinner time, I lifted the dome of my dinner plate, and I kid you not, my meal was a 2 inch or less square piece of pizza. Hard as a rock and lukewarm. I am not exaggerating or over-re-acting. This is insane. I don't trust anyone here anymore. I just want out and would not recommend anyone ever use this facility. I hit my button to get out of my wheel chair last night and into the bed. I am NOT supposed to do this on my own stated by PT. I got no answer, so, I struggled 30 minutes getting myself from my wheelchair into my bed. I am so through with this so-called 5 star Re-Hab Center. This is only one out of three incidents and I have only been here for 4 days. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone I know. I am doing all I can to get the heck out of here.
