This is a late review of my experience @ the Wound Care Clinic. I give thanks and credit to the staff for their effort and intentions, BUT. In hindsight: I had one pea sized wound on my left front shin and a large chronic painful wound (4" x 7") from Lymphedema on the right front shin. When they first examined me, they chose to spend all of their effort and my considerable travel time (two almost concurrent treatment periods) to work on the very small wound and told me I'd have to 'manage' the large more serious Lymphedema wound and ignored it from them on? (aka they weren't going to address it medically in ANY way? Opportunistic choice on their part, ignoring the major wound as the elephant in the room! MY mistake for not rejecting this ridiculous choice from the start! Recently, I created my own treatment for this issue and the condition has improved radically in just a month. This clinic like the two Dermatologists and Lymphedema specialist who referred me didn't have a solution or treatment for my serious chronic wound. My ineffective misdirected treatment here was a waste of time and Medicare money. Thankfully as I noted, I finally found my OWN method to effectively treat my Lymphedema wound after the prevailing medical professionals could not. Trust but verify all your medical service.
