NHC Farragut

Too many patients, too few staff. My brother was four days in rehab with no rehab and no shower. If a restaurant has a shortage of servers, they cut back tables. NHC has a shortage of staff, yet every bed is full. More patients, less staff, more profit.

That is my first impression. I am considering moving my Mom to this location. But, at 11:00 am, during normal business hours, on three tries, with 10+ rings I could not get a person to answer. On a fourth try I reached a brand new nurse on the second floor who kept calling me dude and could provide zero help. Seriously wondering why I should consider this place.

Never go to work here. The management at the Cavette hill side are horrible. They are very aggressive and hateful. Speaking as a former employee, they ask you to do things that aren’t legal like texting the nurse practitioners patient’s information on your personal phone. They lack any form of communication. When I had to call in once the director of nursing demanded I tell her why I called in and write a statement about it. They bring in patients and have no information in the computer about them. No diagnosis, code status, or history and physicals. We would run out of supplies and have to just make do. I have never worked for a place as horrible as this in my whole career.

My dad was in NHC from February 21 and until March 10th that was the worse place they are he had pneumonia and a UTI infection when he went there they kelp saying it was getting better but they wasn’t telling the true about it and they only treated it with oral anabiotic’s through his feeding tube they let him get a bed sore and wouldn’t call the wound doctor in to see him the physician assistant wouldn’t give him IV anabiotic’s for his pneumonia I went in on March 10th and he didn’t know me and had Vomit all over his self I went to the head nurse and she said they would let their physician assistant to look at him and I told them she wasn’t worth a grab I told them I wanted a ambulance over there to take him to park west hospital That I was his power of attorney and I wanted ambulance over there now and they got mad the doctor at the ER at park west hospital said that his pneumonia was so bad that they should had him on IV anabiotic’s so thanks to them I loss my dad on March 20th I wouldn’t take anybody there when you would ask them to come in there they would say just a minute and you would never see them he was in there for rehab.

This place is falling apart, they treat their workers like dirt, the air never works. The director (Karla) over the facility does not care about their workers and their well being clearly. When I was their a while back visiting someone they had the kitchen/dinning room so hot and a few pregnant girl was working in those conditions which was not right at all. Also they are very over priced and don't pay their workers enough to put up with all that crap. The only thing good about this place is the kitchen and they put up with so much from EVERY department. House keeping never does their job they always standing around talking about someone. in other words DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES HERE!
