Here's another one to add more.You get get your own nurse assistant. The only way to do this is to do something majorly wrong, so they assigned you an assistant to follow you around, push your wheelchair, get your food, run to the vending machines, ect.Instead of grounding them to there wing, and taking there smoking privileges away peroid.The aids could be doing something more useful like tending to call lights. The only way a person gets an dishonorable discharge "kicked out" is to practically kill someone else. Let the party continue!

I agree with other reviews, it's not a "mad at company review" it's the truth. I'll add some more information, you have to ask what medications are for, and examine to make sure you medication is correct. The whole 1st for has mold contamination, employees and patients are constantly coughing and sneezing.The state of Minnesota comes in for inspections, the staff is on there best making sure everything is up to code, but this is an only Monday thru Friday 9 to 5 thing, after the state leaves everything goes back to the way it was previous to them showing up. Employees cell phones are more important than the patients, call lights, and medications being distributed.The place is filthy. Just surface clean.All employees all shifts on the weekend can not understand English, or just plain ignore them. The nurses do not communicate to each other from shift to shift, critical information gets lost by the time it passes to the shift after the next. Maybe the state of Minnesota should get a couple of undercover patients in there and see what REALLY is going on!I'm sure I'm forgetting more information to post.

ZERO STAR!! ONLY REASON IT HAS ONE STAR IS BECAUSE IT MADE ME CHOOSE ONE. IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS DO NOT PUT THEM IN HERE THEY WILL BE NEGLECTED. VERY POOR MANAGMENT, CNA'S DONT SPEAK ENGLISH, THE CALL LIGHTS STAY LIT FOR HALF AN HOUR THE AIDS WILL GO IN TURN THEM OFF AND LEAVE, RESIDENTS SIT IN THE HALLWAYS AND DOORWAYS AND SCREAM FOR HELP AND NOBODY EVER SHOWS UP. RESIDENTS SIT OUTSIDE AND SMOKE WITH OXYGEN TANKS ON. THERE ARE DRUGS AND ALCOHOL BEING CONSUMED BY RESIDENTS. STAFF VERY UNFRIENDLY TO OTHER STAFF AND RESIDENTS.STAFF IS VERBALLY ABUSIVE TO RESIDENCE. IT IS 100% NEGLECT AND ABUSE, TONS OF RESIDENTS HAVE BED SORES DUE TO BEING LEFT IN BED FOR DAYS AT A TIME AND MANAGEMENT DOES NOTHING THEY ONLY TELL FAMILY MEMBERS WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR AND DO THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE ITS NEVER HOT AND ITS ALWAYS OVERCOOKED OR UNDERCOOKED. MANAGEMENT JUST SITS IN THEIR OFFICE ALL DAY NOT MONITORING STAFF. ITS ONE OF THE WORST NURSING HOMES IN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE PUTTING A FAMILY MEMBER IN HERE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT. THE STATE IS ALWAYS THERE ON VIOLATIONS, THEY NEED TO SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN AND MOVE RESIDENTS TO FACILITIES WHERE THE RESIDENTS ARE ACTUALLY CARED FOR.

I recently removed my father from the TCU unit at this facility. The lack of care and attentiveness to patient needs was shocking. I was concerned about leaving him alone at night as it was clear that calls for assistance are not answered in a reasonable amount of time, if at all. In addition, someone in administration had him sign paperwork by telling him to sign in numerous places on the documents without clear explanation or suggesting a family member should be present. He had just come back from PT and had received medication and was not in any condition to know what he should be signing or not. Anyone working in this type of facility should have known that this was the case and should not taken advantage of him this way. I am happy to say that he is now in a lovely facility where the staff know how to care for patients with empathy and respect. I do not recommend North Ridge Health and Rehab as a facility for your loved ones. Keep looking; there are better options.
