I will forever be regretful for placing my mother in their care- You have to have big bucks before they treat you like you’re human and deserving of dignity for one thing. Period.I visited my mother most nights she had a roommate. I found many times they did not make sure the residents had water or were taken to the bathroom before bed.I arrived one evening to find my mother very critical. The staff never said a word. I was the one who had her admitted to the hospital in fact I demanded it. She ended up passing away just a week later but we never put her back in their care. They never even sent a letter of condolence in fact we heard nothing from them. I would never recommend you put your loved one in their care.

I was nervous to take my mom here, she is a diabetic and I was always the one that took her blood sugars, made sure she ate the appropriate food (and enough of it) and got her medicine on time. I needed a break and so did my husband so we put my mother here for a short stay after a hospital stay. I could not be happier and neither could she. She gets to play bingo, they activities and newsletters that go room to room, we are able to see her daily and she actually likes it! I can not say enough how happy we are that we chose the oaks of Brecksville. It will be her new home!

They don’t answer the phone everything goes to voicemail. They said the more they know about a patient’s routine they can try to copy it. I gave detailed notes of what my mother needs especially on dialysis day. She has a bag she takes with her to dialysis. She was not given it to take. So she froze the whole time she was there. I called the nurse’s station demanding answers & asked for a call back no one did. I had to call again. Someone rudely hung up on me. I called the third time it just rang, finally the fourth time a nurse answered & told me she didn’t know where her bag was but would call me back one way or another. She never called! I wanted to know if I needed to file a police report. If it was stolen. I signed up fora visitation for today. I was met at the door by the receptionist & told me someone was supposed to call me to tell me there was no visitation because a staff tested positive for covid. I never received a call! I called the administrator 2 times yesterday & all I get is her voicemail. She never called back. What kind of place is this? Poorly run! Everybody is new or doesn’t know anything! I can only hope my mom is being taken care of since I can’t see her. Very aggravated with this place so far!!!!
