Plaza Healthcare

My grandmother was transferred to Plaza Healthcare after her second surgery within two months from falls. She went for pain management and therapy. She was with Plaza for a month and a half. In the time that she stayed at Plaza they were able to get her back up and walking on her own with a walker and helped her manage her pain. The therapy team at Plaza is 5 stars. They encouraged her daily to do her very best so that she could get back home with my grandfather. The Nursing team and the CNA team on the first floor where she stayed was amazing. They treated her with respect and attended to her needs as they arrived. They treated her like family. She could not stop talking about how helpful and loving everyone was. She made some wonderful friends as well with the residents that stay there long term. She had a special connection with her Social Worker as well who was always available when my grandma needed some extra love and attention. Once she felt comfortable she started participating in their daily activities. The activities team at Plaza was wonderful. They made sure she had her daily newspaper to read and encouraged her to join in on fun activities that are planned throughout the day. She even planted tomatoes in their new garden. As for the food she did not have too big of an appetite when she got there but by the time she left she was eating well again. She said her favorite thing to eat at Plaza was their lemon bars. Overall the care, love and attention my grandmother received at Plaza was wonderful. I hope she does not have to go through another surgery or fall. But if she ever needed to go someplace to recoup I would not hesitate to request her to go to Plaza. Thank you to the staff of Plaza for all you did to help my grandma get better.
