If there was no asterisk requiring a response for selecting a star rating, I would not have selected a star. The time that I have encountered with the facility staff has been discouraging. Some staff seem to care, many seemed bothered and as if they do not want the patient nor their loved ones to ask any questions. They do not like to talk, however they have time to stare all day as if there are no patients to assist I the facility. The physician has nurses respond on their behalf, and the nurses always encourage communicating with the respective shift nurse. Sometimes the respective shift nurse forgets what was initially asked, the information that requires follow up with a nurse practitioner or a physician. The company that I have been communicating with, to provide additional services for my loved one who is a patient there, was provided an actual discharge date when all I was informed of was meeting to discuss a plan of care. A previous rehab took the time to meet with the patient's loved ones to discuss the importance of long term care insurance and even applied on behalf of the patient, especially when many need the additional assistance and support to get better. Then I receive an invoice in the mail while the patient is still in the facility! This experience made me feel like the patients nor loved ones are not cared about at all, and that the staff wants to rush the patient out of the door, while expecting to be paid on time! Then the patient fell and I was informed by a staff member that the patient is not easy to deal with. The patient is lacking memory ability, aging, and encountering hardships. Isn't it the responsibility of the facility to remain professional at all times and make suggestions to loved ones if the patient is being labeled, even if under false pretenses? I do not recommend any families to this facility.
