No admittance orientation whatsoever. Was brought in and no one spoke to me from the facility till next day. Was left in a wheelchair for 5 hours (having MS and being incontinent.) I was soaked. Very loud 24/7 - always yelling & laughing in hallway. Physical therapy was a very unpleasant experience- one particular PT put me in situations I couldn’t have maneuvered and wouldn’t have attempted even before I needed rehab. She told me to “quit making excuses” and to stop the “drama” .......she was not what you could call empathetic. She hurt my back by jerking me up with that waist belt. When you have spinal stenosis/lumbar in addition to MS extra care needs to be exercised. (PT Michelle and OT Manny were helpful the few times I saw them.) All in all it was a very unpleasant & expensive experience there. Food was good but most often cold. The best thing I can say is that I got both Covid vaccines while I was there. Grateful for that.

My mother was there for one week. She didn't get her medication for 29 hours after arriving (bad communication between the PA and pharmacy); she was left on a bedside commode for 32 minutes and could not get up - no one returned to help her - I drove to the place and took her off the commode; nurses are laughing and sitting around in the evening hours and do not respond to call bells (I witnessed this numerous time); nurses and techs do not use masks, wash their hands each time they enter a room, put on gloves, or use antibacterial product and when you ask for them to they roll their eyes; sick nurses did not wear masks and my mother got pneumonia and the flu while there and ended up in ICU on life support for two weeks. Attitude of nursing staff and techs is horrible - patients are an inconvenience. No team work, no compassion, no patience, and no kindness. Upper management has no idea what goes on in the place when they are around. It's a horrible place and other patients said the same.

Horrible care when my mother was there for what was called "rehab". Rude staff, patients ignored, staff never ever even poked a head in the door to check on the patients. Their idea of a pureed diet was to puree what was on the menu, I use the example of purred fried catfish poboy with pureed chocolate eclair. We brought my mother dinner each night, she did perfectly fine on what we brought her. We checked her out after 2 weeks of little to no care and set her up for home hospice , where she has been doing very well, eating normally, using bathroom (they had her catheterized) and thriving. Do not ever even use the name of this place in a sentence. She would have died had she been there much longer.

I have been in health care for over 20 years and was surprised and disheartened at the care my family member received. The staff is lazy and many seem barely competent. They routinely ignore the patients and their families and spend much of the day sitting at the nurse's station chatting. Nurse call buttons were often ignored, sometimes for several hours, even though the patient room number was displayed at the station. Worse, “out of bed” alarms that ring when a patient gets out of bed or their wheel chair when they shouldn't were also ignored. I myself helped a patient off the floor and back into her chair when her alarm had been ringing for almost 20 minutes. My mother spent six weeks at Pruitt undergoing rehab and either I or one other family member visited every day. Not once, I repeat, not once, did any staff member acknowledge us, say hello, offer unsolicited updates on our mother's condition or ask if there was anything they could help us with. They were at best indifferent but more often nasty and rude to both the patients and visitors. The food is poor, was never hot and was dropped on the table or bed tray “as is”; the “warming” covers often not removed and the sealed items like juice and milk rarely opened, even for patients that could not do it for themselves. Although they ask that a menu request be filled out daily for the patients, on several occasions the wrong food was brought and, despite requests for adjustment, the correct meal never arrived.Phone calls to the professional staff and managers were often not taken which I understand. People are busy. However, despite leaving messages, return calls were rarely done leaving family to recall multiple times.Perhaps most distressing is the fact that on two occasions that I personally witnessed, the wrong medication was administered to my mother.I could say more but you have the idea. Please consider an alternate facility for your loved ones if at all possible.
