After reading all the negative reviews my family still gave this place a chance. Now we see first hand what everyone’s gripe was about. These ppl just want insurance money they could care less about your loved one. They are understaffed so all patients don’t receive proper care. They leave your loved on to lay or sit in soiled diapers and clothes. They ignore requests from family and patients. My grandma may have dementia but she knows she need to go to restroom and her personal hygiene needs addressing. No one takes accountability here they point the fingers to the next. We shouldn’t have to come in and bathe my grandmother because you all have ignored the call bell all day. Totally unacceptable. If you care about your loved one please stay on top of the care while their in this facility because they definitely won’t.! Shame on you Laurel Park.

My friend has been here since May. The after-hours staff is AWFUL! If you call after 3:30, NO ONE answers the phone. I called and let it ring 7 minutes, then they picked it up and hung-up. My friend has bedsores and I told the Saturday nurse. She told me to tell the CNA, the CNA told me to tell the nurse. I went back and the nurse gave me salve. Then retracked and said she would have to do it. This was at 12:30. I left for lunch and came back. When I was leaving at 4 pm, that nurse called out to me from the nursing station, "We're gonna get to your friend's wound in a minute." When you go to visit and the front doors are locked, it takes 15 to 20 minutes for someone to come let you in. I bought my friend an Alexa so we could video chat and she could have music by using her voice since her hands aren't working..... It stays online one day and disconnects. You would think that a CNA or someone would care enough to ask her if she wanted music or a movie on and realize it's down AGAIN. But no. I bought her cokes and chocolate protein shakes because she hates the Ensure they give. Do they ask her if she wants it? Nope. It's been sitting on her dresser for four weeks now. I left a message with the director two weeks ago to call me and I have yet to get a response. They DON'T CARE THERE. THEY'RE JUST DOING THEIR JOBS. The poor invalid lady that shares my friends room had a horribly loud BM that smelled awful, so I let them know. Two hours later, she still hadn't been tended to. This poor woman cannot speak or anything. There are no call buttons in the rooms or telephones. No way to communicate. They just have to sit there until someone comes in the room.

Do NOT let your loved one go to Laurel Park. Do your homework for any rehab/care facility. Wish I had the ability to before my dad signed mom to go to PT rehab from Piedmont Henry.Mom transferred in at 1:30 am on Saturday. Any time you call they would rarely answer. No one checked my mom’s bag for 6 hours until we called at 7:30 am asking if her medications came over.When I was able to get my mom on her cell phone she said she was so thirsty. She was at Piedmont for dehydration, elevated kidney levels and a UTI, yet no one would bring my mom water. She said the food was almost inedible and so she didn’t eat for two days.When I brought medications to the facility on Saturday evening a nurse named Amanda came out. She was absolutely unfriendly and needs to find a new career if that is her bedside manner. When I would ask mom about her medications she told me they would only give her half.After I started to read online reviews and received countless private messages from friends who have had family members at this location, I knew it was critical we got my mom out of there. Thank goodness we were able to sign her out today and will look into at home PT and care.When the nurse (Cynthia) brought mom to us, she transported her through the facility with no mask on my mother. Once we had mom safely in the car I asked Cynthia why she transported my mom through the building with no face mask on her and she replied “No reason. We didn’t go through an area with masks.” I looked at her and said THAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!I can tell you I’ve seen a mobility walker that was dropped off Friday sitting at the front desk and is still there. I took a picture of it and it is for a patient because their order sheet is taped to it. I saw a patient’s bag with vase, flowers, and a balloon sit at the drop off table for over an hour while 8 nurses and a doctor walked past it at shift change, 7pm, on Saturday evening.Thank god my mother is out of there. I wanted to take every single patient with me. I’m praying for them hard!SHAME on every worker at this facility who has lost their humanity and heart. May they never be in the shoes of the people they are neglecting.The fact they brought my mother to me with no face mask proves to me these facilities and especially Laurel Park are NOT FOLLOWING STATE MANDATED COVID PROTOCOL!

No communication with family members. Won't call back if you leave a message on there voice mail, including corporate managers. Would not give written visitation policies. My Mom was shuttled between there and Piedmont Henry medical center for almost 3 months. Developed a bed sore the size of a grapefruit and infected into he tail bone. Had to have surgery. To be that bad it had to be neglected for a while. Don't recommend leaving any of your Loved ones here.

Do not send your loved ones to Laurel Park. My grandmother was neglected and treated horrible by the staff. Her meds were given wrong causing serious issues. She was bathed poorly and left to lay in her soiled diapers for hours. Please save your lived ones and send them to a different facility.

Horrible place to put your loved ones in. The nursing staff is severely understaffed, especially on Fridays and the weekend. You have CNAs that are assigned an entire hall to themselves, which is about from 20 to 30 something patients per CNA. The same with nurses, but CNAs get the worst of it. So if you walk in and see your incontinent loved one soaked in bed with a dry urine stain on the sheets, don't be surprised. Take your loved one somewhere else if you want quality care with safe patient-to-staff ratios.

This is a terrible place. Nurses are short on patience. Residents are left soiled for hours. I feel so bad for these that can’t advocate for themselves. I also learned that no one cares no matter who I spoke with. So responding or calling me for a update will go nowhere with the owners or director at this facility. For noW on I’ll just guard my heart and not look left or right. Learned a valuable lesson and that is put someone loud in my corner as I age. Thank you for showing me how not to treat the most vulnerable.
