If I could give a 0 I would. My mother-in-law was sent here for rehab from the hospital and from the moment she arrived there were problems. She arrived around 6pm and was met in the hall by the nurse who told her that the bathroom light did not work but that they were working on it. That was the only interaction she had until an hour later when she called me to say that she needed to go to the bathroom and had not been given a call light. I called the facility while on my way there and only then was someone sent to her room to help her. Upon my arrival the nurse's only response to my question as to why no one had been into the room to do a basic patient check in was "I don't know I'm new" . I asked him if they put him on the floor with no training by himself and his response was "well I went through orientation". After meeting the CNAs working that night I decided to give them the bennifit of the doubt because he was new and the CNA staff does most of the patient care. I arrived the next morning with my sister in law and after speaking to mom found out that in the night she had found bugs crawling on her. Also as we stood there next to the air conditioner we happened to notice a used diabetes testing strip sitting in the vent. When questioned staff insisted that it was unused but as almost half of our immidiate family is diabetic we all know what used strips look like. The administration staff was nasty and evasive when questioned and we had her transferred out that day. My mother is a diabetic and it took my sister in law calling again before they even checked her sugar around 2:30pm (right before she was transferred). The care my mother-in-law received was sub standard at best and neglectful at worst.
