Ridgecrest Health and Rehabilitation

My mother went there for rehab after hip surgery. The PT and OT staff were great and Mom progressed under their care. On the other hand the facility is woefully understaffed. Our family has documented many incidents, one being mom telling me she had indigestion for 2 hours and had called the nurse at least 3 times for tums. I asked the nurse if mom has called for tums and she said no, she didn’t know anything about it. I had also talked with CNA’s on the hall and they said they had told the nurse 2-3 times. This is the kind of care mom received daily there. Everyday we were dealing with drama. We had sitters with Mom daily and still had all this going on. No structural time for meals or meds, they always had an excuse for not being on time. I’m thankful she is not there anymore, please think carefully before putting your loved one there.

The worst experience I have ever been through. After numerous meetings with Administration, nothing changed. Medicine distribution and meal service was sooo unpredictable. The place is beautiful but the care is NOT good. They are understaffed in EVERY area. Sad my Grandmother had to experience it. PT /OT is great as well as the nurse practitioner. Other than that - bad! I have lots of incidents but just trust me, do not sent anyone you love there.
