Silver Bluff Village

My sister was a resident here for 8.5 years. She was young and they did everything to make her feel as much at home as possible. Actually they spoiled her a little. She had MS. As with any facility you are going to have sime bad but the good diffenitly outdated the bad. Great facility.

I was able to be admitted to Silver Bluff Nursing Home from my home in Georgia due to the tireless efforts of their sweet admission coordinator. It took us working together over a 2 months period to get me here but I am so thankful we made it work. This place is the best. I love all the staff, food and activities. I am proud to call this my home - the workers and residents are like my new family!

I have been in the nursing home for several months now. I appreciate billing and admission staff for helping with placement. I love my roommate, the staff, food, activities and freedom I am still allowed to have. It is a great place to come and live.

My mother was admitted there for short term rehab with the plan to go home. The admissions process was great, the nurses and nursing assistants knowledgeable and caring and the therapists were amazing. Unfortunately, we were not able to take her home so she moved to their long term care side. She loves her roommate and they take really good care of her. Highly recommend them.

I’m a 62 yr old male currently living in a nursing home in Ohio. But I want to come back home. This nursing home turned me down. I asked why and they said in the nurse report that I had refused to comply with elevating my feet like I was supposed to. I told her this is the first I’ve heard of it because I’ve never been ask to elevate them. And by the way I have a copy of everything that was sent to them. I looked a there was no such information sent pertaining to this so-called problem. I’ll tell you the lady’s name is Kristi McCracken. She then began to say that they would have to get me doctors and that it would take two people. Well it’s State law that they have to have two people to lift me in with a hoyer lift. Mater of fact I’d say that’s probably nationwide. I butted in to tell her that my tiny facility I’m in takes care of all my needs because they are way out in the Countryside of Ohio and have to send me an hour away to doctors. Silver Bluff is only fifteen minutes from Memorial Mission hospital in Asheville, NC. And doctors are numerous. So not only was it another lie but because I interrupted her she began yelling at me. I asked her she should not be screaming like that and she said it was because I interrupted her. I said yes I did I I shouldn’t have but that’s no reason to yell. So I saw what I was up against and hung up. I have since looked up how many patients are actually there. It’s easy to do this online. They have 131 beds and 118 patients. The first time I conversed with her she told me they gave the last men’s room away that day but she thought she could move some lady’s rooms around to make room for me. My Social Worker here seemed to think I was going to be accepted and I was told the word was I had a couple weeks before I go. I’m sure it’s a good facility but just hope you don’t have to deal with KRISTI McCRACKEN!
