South Valley Care Center

I have a relative that is a resident there and have recently grown unhappy/dissatisfied with her care. She has been allowed to freeze excessively to the point of being in pain. She is being allowed and kept with a VERY HIGH Diabetes level as far as sugar counts. It is really disappointing that my elderly relative has low quality of life medically speaking. When it was mentioned that she was freezing all that was done was given a blanket and no real attention to if it was helping (which it didn't), she was shaking excessively that she couldn't even talk or eat her lunch meal. The nurses attending to her in the past have been wonderful but on this day were not concerned as we feel they should have been. On another occasion they had to be told that the wheelchair she was sitting in was not fitting her size to the point that she was hanging way out the front of it and was sitting more on her spine than rear. If you look at one of the sites for South Valley they have had high fire violations in the past. When asked about this home my comment is usually "It's one of the worst."
