State Street Assisted Living

My mother lived in this facility. It is quite pretty and in a lovely location. Like most facilities there is good and bad. Transportation is only provided 3 days a week.My mother needed radiation treatments 5 days a week and there was no available transportation for that. Long waits on line to get medication. They do not come to your room. Multiple errors with billing. Read your contract well and keep track of your bills. Weekends especially seem to be understaffed and 30 to 40 minutes wait to room call assistance were common. Attention to details concerning paperwork for doctor visits, medications, and charting were lacking. Services stated in the contract were not consistently provided. Laundry is done once a week by dumping all things, towels, sheets, jeans, undies, slacks etc. Into one washer at the same time. Many times I did my mother's laundry only to find the washer and/ dryer broken for several weeks in a row. If you place your loveded one here make sure you keep an eye on everything regularly, additionally read the last several years of Delaware State Assisted Living Reviews and complaints for this facility. I understand the staff (management) has all changed since my mother lived here. Hopefully the new management is more attentive to detail, caring, and professional.
