Sterling Village

I came here for physical therapy everyone was great They all treated me with respect. THE ENTIRE STAFF was terrific. Shout out to Lori , Marie, Mia, and Rose. Also nurses Matt and Jonathan.The Activities department always came in to invite me to the various fun activities. I also enjoyed the food it was delicious. I would recommend Sterling Village for anyone whro needs physical therapy.

I am so disappointed with this place. The owners or owners run Thur staff, staff not happy, under paid, place looks nice from outside great for that but the care inside is just not there, I get it no one really wants to live in these places because they aren’t home or home like at all very over priced and they are always short staffed. We are taking our mother out and bring her to a place that is half the price and she will be cared for with some dignity. There are very few good homes out there isn’t it sad.

I am a RN at a very busy med/surg hospital so I have sympathy for staffing problems however that doesn’t excuse incompetence. My Aunt was placed in this facility as she was unable to care for herself at home. It’s the biggest mistake ever made. There is no one helping her. The food is terrible. She has Macular degeneration and is Hard of hearing. She calls for help and no one comes and if they do come they give an attitude and are rushing. I’m sure they can get away with that behavior if someone has dementia and can’t report it. Is this how our elderly deserve to live out their last years? I don’t think any of these facilities are good. Until we put people before profit it will never change. I agree with another writer if I could give zero I would.

If there was a way to give zero stars I would. This place is dressed up nice on the outside but it is little more than warehousing for old people. They are clearly understaffed, and too many of the staff they have are unfriendly and unkind. There are certainly a few stand out staff who have been helpful. But they are the exception to the rule. One of them, in fact, told us we should get our mother out of there because she felt bad about the poor care she was getting. I hear lots of stories about how it is hard to run elder care places because medicaid pays so badly. Sorry, it doesn't cost any more to ask of your (undoubtedly underpaid) staff to at least be friendly and helpful. Our elders are at the most vulnerable and frightening stage of life. Many, like our mother, are easily intimidated and therefore don't advocate for themselves. This has actually meant her sleeping in her soiled bed for fear she would be scolded for asking for help.
