I would like to have given this place a five star but I do feel they are under staffed. Which leads me to say that the poor nurses and aids are running their butts off. They have been wonderful the whole time my mom was their. Very pleasant and kind, one nurse in particular in Dawn ( she is on Keuka 1st floor side) . She has the biggest heart a person could ever have. I would trust her with no worries. I live in Florida and had no place to stay so they got me a cot to stay in the room with my mom. The ladies in physical therapy are also very pleasant with a smile every day. If you are feeling that family members are not taking care of DONT , they are it is just a bit hard for them. Be patient. They do care about their residents. They just need a little more help. In closing I have to say GREAT JOB TO THE LADIES ON 1ST FLOOR, KEUKA AREA. Dawn you are a wonderful person inside and out. You will always be remembered by me and my mom. Thank you.

My husband was forced into rehab due to a medical emergency. Yet by the time he had reached this place he was well onto his way to fending for himself. However after the 1st few days the therapy workers started asking why are you here still you can do things on your own?? Now he is stuck there with the constant threat if you sign yourself out the insurance won't pay for it. This place is just collecting insurance money because he is in a bed and they are doing zip for him. The Nurses and nurse aides are over worked because the place runs at half the staff needed for the residents. The new doctor is abusive and I have major concerns for residents that can't defend themselves. And the list goes on the nurses and aides are busting their collective asses and someone is raking in money wonder where it's going??

I wish I could give this facility negative stars. My grandfather was in this center for a couple of months, he had diabetes and Parkinson's which was accompanied by dementia. He has since passed away and, yes, I understand that his health was failing and he didn't have long, however the treatment, or rather lack thereof, was inhumane, neglectful, undignified, and cruel.I live in Kansas so I knew nothing of the treatment until I went to New York to visit my grandparents. The things the center hid from my grandmother were absolutely wrong and appalling. They weren't getting my grandfather his correct medicine correctly but they were also giving him a medication which was illegal to give him without my grandmother's permission WHICH they NEVER got from her. My grandfather, thanks to the nature of his disease AND the medication that they had no permission to give him, could not feed himself and the facility was responsible for making sure he was eating. They didn't. My grandmother would go to see her husband of 57 years and find him asleep at a table with food all over him because he was hungry and desperately trying to feed himself. So my grandmother would then have to feed him herself and clean him up.My Grandfather had hurt his foot and they called to tell her about it, that is fine, however they didn't actually treat the injury, they just covered it in brown paper towels and a boot so my grandmother couldn't see it. He had bed sores because they never moved him which then got impacted and infected. Once Grandma found out about that she had them remove the boot and saw that it was horrifically infected, which the facility denied was an infection. She insisted he needed to go to the hospital to which the facility refused saying there was no legitimate reason for him to go to the hospital. Thanks to my aunt's help he got to the hospital and finally received actual care, unfortunately it was too late. The infections could not be treated and were spreading, his b
