Summer Hill Nursing Home

My mother-in-law was sent there on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was left in the same clothes for 4 days. Slept in them. Never given a toothbrush to clean her teeth. The staff is rude and neglectful. They would take her hearing aids at night and it would be late afternoon before she got them. The halls are dirty and paint chipped off everywhere. The bathroom had crap n seat for days. This facility should have their license revoked! The only caring people were the PT workers and OT workers. We got my mother-in-law out as soon as possible. This place should be investigated. It is disgusting.

My name is Margo and I visit my sister Carol 6 to 7 days per week since she has been at Summerhill Nursing Home. I have high regards for the staff caring for my sister. They are, for the most part, caring and professional in their duties. The facility is immaculately kept, and my sister is very well cared for. This is why I have rated this facility with 5 stars. I am aware that this is an older facility, but from my experience there, I have nothing negative to say.

We put our loved one here because of excellent reviews, which must be from people who work there. "Care" is awful, it's filthy, food is not fit to be served, staff is rude and nasty. It's extremely loud and it was difficult to hold a conversation IN A ROOM because of the noise! Staff is way too rough with elderly patients and they don't listen to what the patient is saying. My loved one said they are absolutely "abusive". Do NOT put your loved one in this place!
