The Bell Minor Home

My father received 5 weeks of rehab at Bell Minor for a broken hip.I'm a retired nurse with extremely high standards and have been most impressed with the rehab team and the nursing team. In the midst of Covid and extremely difficult working conditions, everyone has been so kind, considerate and followed through on anything I asked about. My Dad said everyone is taking 'really good care of me' and the therapists are 'working me hard, I'm getting stronger'.Thankful to the staff of Bell Minor for all their hard work with my Dad!!

This is not a place you go to get better. This is a place you go to die. They are understaffed. 80 percent of their staff are rude and arguement. They act like they know your loved one better than you do. If you ask for anything or voice a concern they either want to argue and tell you your wrong, get huffy and act like your an inconvenience. The facility itself is in poor condition. Its unclean and rundown. The furniture is rundown and so is all of their equipment. They lose clothing items even with names labeled in them. They didnt notify us when our loved one got sick. When we found that they were sick they argued with us and said they were not, and it was just a wheeze and a cough. We insisted our loved one see the doctor that comes around once a week but only sees them once a month unless theres a "reason". Did test and low and behold our loved one has pneumonia. Now we are back in the hospital and our loved one is in worse condition now than they were when they went to Bell Minor to get better. You send your loved ones to these places to be taken care of and rehabilitated, not neglected and allowed to get worse. This is not a place for anyone to be.
