Please keep your loved ones far away from this place if you want to keep them alive and well. My great uncle was recently a patient at this facility and it was an absolute nightmare. He had never had any skin breakdown, but a week into being a patient here he acquired three bed sores. Further, on two occasions, we arrived and he was visibly short of breath with no oxygen in sight. I asked the nurse to apply a pulse ox to check his oxygen saturation, and it was down in the 80s. (Inpatient facilities typically apply oxygen when a patient's oxygen saturation is 92 or lower) Fast forward to last Friday, when he was discharged to home WITHOUT oxygen or an order in place for oxygen at home. Multiple calls have been made to the facility by the family and the assigned home health agency, but it is evident that the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. The social worker advised that the provider would not write an order for home oxygen as she did not have any oxygen saturation readings on file. Who's fault is that? Does the joint commission know that they are not doing vital signs on skilled patients? Sadly, yesterday after only being home for a few days, my uncle was taken by the rescue squad to the hospital in acute respiratory failure with altered mental status due to LOW OXYGEN. Everybody in that facility failed him ESPECIALLY the discharging social worker, Audra. STAY FAR AWAY.

Even the staff will say that the patients with the most visitors get the most care. They are understaffed and patients are neglected. Medications are late (2hour window), often hear them say “she’s out of her mind”, “not my job”, etc... SAD SAD PLACE

If your loved one lives here, you will spend all your time fighting for the most basic needs to be provided. Unless you throw a fit, nails will not be trimmed, wet linens will not be changed, no one will come get your loved one for activities - the list goes on and on. The crux of the problem is a sorry administrator who will not provide adequate nursing and CNA staff levels. Pick another place if you can.
