The Madison On Marsh

My mother has been living at this community since March 2020. Because of her special needs dealing with Parkinson's Disease and dementia, it was critical to find her an acceptable, clean, caring and competent living community.Because of COVID, I had to trust God to direct me to find such a place. We selected The Madison on Marsh, sight unseen. This community consists of interested, concerned and very competent staff. The community is clean; the residents are well cared for and are truly interested in what benefits their residents and their families.I do not worry about my mother and her level of care as I feel, in my heart, she is cared for and the staff have demonstrated, over and over, their competency and sincere desire to make sure my mother and all residents are comfortable and their needs are met.They provided my mother with the COVID vaccination and have continued to follow CDC and HHS guidelines to make sure all residents, staff and visitors are able to now enjoy visitation safely.I would recommend this community to anyone.This community has been a blessing and I am very grateful.

Do not put your loved one here. The Administrative staff is horrible! Because we live on the other side of the country, a social worker was assigned to her when she needed to go to the hospital. They recommended Madison and told us they would be able to follow her care since we are out of state. We never heard from the Social Worker again. You can never speak to anyone when you call at Madison because they are always "in a meeting." We had our relative there for over a year and were advised by Doctors not to move her closer to us out of state because of her mental/medical condition. We called several times a week, when they would answer the phone. When she passed, they claimed they left a message for us to call, but after looking through all phone messages on cell and house, we never received the call. They had 3 other numbers they could have called but they claimed only 1 on file even though we filled out page after page of information when she first arrived. They never followed up and we learned of our loved ones death 2 days later from the hospital she was transferred to. The Administrative staff never once called to offer their condolences or to ask if we needed anything. 2 1/2 weeks later after we buried her, I had to call to speak to the Director who gave me lots of excuses. There has got to be a better place to place your loved one!

My mother was in rehab at Madison on Marsh. What a frustrating experience! Communication was either non-existent or misleading. It was difficult to get information regarding her progress. Discharge was disorganized, chaotic, lacking in communication, and poorly handled. I will not consider using this facility again and definitely do not recommend.
