As long as your parent is active, cheerful, and sociable, this is a great place. But once he starts to go downhill, unless he's a docile, cooperative person, things will deteriorate. The lower level care staff are great, but they are overworked and not sufficiently valued by their bosses. The management does not foster a positive environment for employees. The social worker and nurse supervisor lack the understanding and sensitivity called for when elderly people are struggling with loss of control. We expected better. Seems a leadership change is needed.
