Wausau Manor

I was that when they had covid in the building, aides were run ragged, they were definitely understaffed many days, especially on p.m. shift. My room was cleaned daily by friendly housekeeping. The thermostat in my room did NOT work properly--and maintenance came once to look at it...but it was not fixed; took several days to get a lightbulb changed; the hoses in the shower in my room leaked cold water on me when aides were showering me, and tyhose were not repaired. There was a long wait time for a aide/nurse to come in and help with my needs. I am diabetic and was given foods that were not a food diabetics should be served, temperature of food was bad--it was usually cold, but aides would warm it up for all my meals. P.T. and O.T. were very good. I was there for 6 weeks for infusions, and with covid in the building, it made for VERY long days-I did observe aides entering rooms where a covid patient was, and wearing no gown and often no mask/gloves. Inadequate staff on noc shift, as well. I was glad to go home after being there for 6 weeks! EWould I recommend to someone to reside there...No I would NOT!!

Poor cares ,dirty rooms, lazy staff, and lock of disregard for patients .ones you there they treat you like and animal, no proper care and overall very unsafe. Short staffed . The administrator is very rude .and the managers , not helpful at all .
