Chandler Senior Center provides a wide array of social, recreational and supportive services for adults aged 50 and over in the Chandler region. At the center, members participate in enrichment classes, such as cooking, dancing and arts and crafts, as well as games, karaoke and coloring. Ability360 Home Care Services is a nationally recognized nonprofit home care agency that provides personal assistance services to qualifying individuals, including respite care, housekeeping and personal care. Caregivers are carefully screened and trained and provide services, such as companionship and supervision, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and accompaniment to appointments. To qualify for services, applicants must receive healthcare services through the Arizona Long Term Care System, which is the state’s Medicaid program, and have a UnitedHealthCare Community Plan, Mercy Care Plan or Banner University Family Care. Native Americans who receive ALTCS and services through the Native American Community Health Centers also qualify. Private pay options are available for seniors not receiving services through ALTCS.
