Area Agency on Aging Region One
The local Area Agency on Aging is funded through the Older Americans Act and provides a variety of free and low-cost services to residents aged 60 and over in the Scottsdale region. The city also offers social services for seniors and their families, including information and referrals, case management and home visit assessments, along with several support groups. Weatherization Assistance Program
Scottsdale seniors who meet certain qualifications may receive help with reducing their energy bills and improving their living conditions through the state’s Weatherization Assistance Program. The program facilitates a variety of services, including adding thermal insulation to a participant’s home, shading sun-exposed windows, HVAC maintenance and installing energy and water efficiency measures, such as low-flow showerheads.

Senior Property Valuation Protection Option
Scottsdale residents aged 65 and older who meet certain qualifications may freeze their primary residence’s property valuation at its current taxable value.
